American Airlines has announced a sale for fall and winter on flights from New York to Rome.

The fares start from as low as $485 for round-trip.
Tickets must be purchased by October 3.
Travel period: flights must start between October 29, 2007 and March 13, 2008, and conclude April 12, 2008.

The offer is part of a promotion American Airlines has launched for flights from the U.S. to major european destinations, including London, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Zurich. (See details on AA website)

Italian American tenor Aaron Caruso, who has been chosen to portray the late, great tenor, Mario Lanza, in an upcoming Broadway musical about Lanza’s life and times, will perform, along with other cast members and the Nassau County Symphony, at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Greenvale, NY in a production entitled: “Be My Love: The Life of Mario Lanza in Song“.

This production is allied with a cerebral palsy fundraiser and will take place on October 14th, 2007 at 3 p.m.
