An Italian night will be held on Saturday evening, March 10, 2007, in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania).

This is a fund-raising event that is being sponsored by The St. Anthony di Padova Society. All proceeds to benefit the St. Anthony Feast Day celebration to be held in Philadelphia on June 10, 2007.

Today, closing day of Carnival, costume parades are taking place all across Italy.
The most famous of the peninsula is the Venice Carnival. Among the many others cities and towns whose Carnival attract a broad audience, those that are internationally known are: Viareggio (Tuscany), Cento (Emilia-Romagna), Putignano (Apulia), Sciacca (Sicily), Oristano (Sardinia) and Ivrea (Piedmont).

The city of Ivrea, celebrates its historic Carnival in a very original way, with huge orange battles in the squares. See video below.
