»» Free Wine Tastings Across Italy in November

Wine passionates visiting Italy in November have a chance to taste a large selection of wines for free.
Starting from November 6th, it will be possible tasting the Vino Novello, a kind of wine from the last grape harvest — ‘Novello‘ comes from ‘nuovo‘, which means ‘new‘, so “Vino Novello” could be roughly translated into “New Wine“.

On Sunday, November 12, more than 100 wine cellars across Italy will be open to the public for tasting the young wines.
Each cellar is also expected to offer regional specialities to accompany the Novello tasting.

The regions where the cellars will be open are: Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Veneto.
To know the cellars that will be open to the public, visit this web page (unfortunately it is in Italian only; click the links “cantine della regione” to find out more about the cellars )
