Prof. Don Ermis Segatti is visiting Utah during his tour in the USA. He is very kind to dedicate this evening to meet with the public of the Italian Center.
A question and answer session with follow his presentation.

Prof. Segatti is a well known specialists in History of Christianity, and long time professor at the Theological University of Torino.
His area of research is focused on Eastern Europe and on the Far East. He is also interested in America. He has published extensively on these topics. He speaks and reads several languages, including English.

We will meet for drinks, and people can order food as they
wish.

Commedia dell’Arte:
The Art of Survival
An improvised performance of -canovaccio - (scenes) and -lazzi- (sight gags). In English language.
Introduced by Director Artemis PREESHL

Artemis Preeshl is the Movement Specialist in the Department of Theatre Arts at Utah State University.

In summer 2004, she trained with Maestro Antonio Pulchinella Fava in commedia dell’arte. This past summer, she studied mask with internationally renowned mask-maker, Donato Sartori, son of Amleto Sartori, in Italy. Amleto created the neutral mask with Jacques LeCoq in collaboration with Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo in Padova shortly after World War II.

»» Wine Tasting by NYC Italian Language, Food & Culture Meetup Group

The NYC Italian Language, Food & Culture Meetup Group organizes on Monday, Nov. 7th, a very specially priced private Italian wine tasting.

A limited number of members will taste a selection of some of Italy’s wines; it will be including , whites and reds from Piedmont, Tuscany, Veneto, and Apulia, as well as from other regions, some popular varieties, upcoming varieties, new popular items, a sparkling wine, and a dessert wine.

 Accompanying cheeses and breads will be served.
An overview of the grape varieties, major wines of Italy and tips on how to order Italian wines in a restaurant will complete the night.

The host is Dilek Caner, a wine expert who is the former Tastings Director of Wine & Spirits Magazine and the current founder of Tasting World, a new wine tasting school.

Cost is $40 per person. Each person who attends will also receive a $40 discount on a future class series at Tasting World (except for the Value Series).
