Joseph Marotta is a professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Utah.
His work has been exhibited and collected extensively over the past twenty years. His work can been seen in the recent publication, Black and White Photography, An International Collection, published by Rockport Press.

His photographs explore the concept of time, the way we experience it’s passing and how that experience seems to be accelerating in the twenty-first century. He photographs primarily in France and Italy.

The Salt Lake Community College, Department of Languages, and the Italian Cultural Center of Utah present the Italian movie:
“My Name is Tanino”
Director: Paolo Virzì
Production: Italy 2003
Lenght: 108 minutes

Tanino is a 20 year old young man from Sicily who has the dream of becoming a famous movie director. He falls in love with Sally, an American girl on vacation in Sicily. At the end of Summer she goes back to the USA and Tanino, with the excuse of returning her videocamera, follows her to the States.

When: Monday, October 24, 7:00 pm
Where: Salt Lake Community College - Redwood Campus (Technology Building, room 203)
