»» The Italian American Civic League of Salt Lake City

The Italian American Civic League of Salt Lake City, based in Salt Lake City, UT, is an Italian-American Organization founded in 1934 and shortly after became an affiliate of the National Italian-American Civic League.

Its main objective is:

To promote good fellowship among the Italian-Americans and the encouragement of the civic, economic, and social welfare of the people of the state of Utah.

Stressing the promotion of civic, social, education, and economic advancement of Italian-Americans, maintaining a good relationship between the Italians and the people of the state of Utah, and making sure that there was a proper part taken by Italian-Americans in the community are the goals this organization has been pursuing since the inception.

Among the several successfully activities and programs of the League, we would like to remark the followings:

The Scholarship Award Program, began in 1936, which contribute to share Italian culture values and tradition accross tha state;

All State Italian Day at the Lagoon Resort, which continues to promote most effectively good fellowship among Italian-Americans.
