-Campobasso- The old part of Campobasso is medieval, with steep and narrow streets. The city has also interesting Romanesque remains, such as the churches of San Bartolomeo (1317), restored in the 18th c., and of the 13th cent. San Giorgio.
-Isernia- Worthy interest monuments is the 15th-c. Fontana della Fraterna, with an unusual loggia, and the church of San Francesco, rebuilt, but still with its original 13th-c.
-Termoli-: Important seaside resort and harbour for the ferries for the Tremiti islands. |
